How can I apply to participate in the workshop?

You just have to follow the link in Enroll and fill the available form. The objective of this form is to have an estimate number of interested people, so even if you do not fill it you can still come.



There is none, the entrance is free of charge.



Of course! This workshop aims to promote the Biomedical Engineering to everyone.



The event will take place at the Faculty of Sciences, in the University of Lisbon, at the building C3. You can easily get there by underground (Campo Grande station, in the yellow and green lines, or Cidade Universitária station, in the yellow line), by bus (701, 717, 731, 735, 736, 738, 747, 750, 755, 764, 767, 768, 778, 783, 796, 798) or by train (Entrecampos station). Near FCUL, there is the Alvaláxia Shopping Centre. There you have a lot of lunch options to choose from. For any question just ask the organizers for directions.



It is an opportunity for young researchers who wish to present and discuss their recent work. During the coffee breaks, in the middle of the morning and of the afternoon, the participants and speakers will be invited to appreciate the work developed by the posters authors.



First, you'll have to submit an abstract of your work and then await the confirmation of your works acceptance for the poster session. The abstract must not surpass the 400 words and it should be sent to 9thwbme@gmail.pt. The document to be sent should be in PDF format, according this template. We will admit a total of 38 posters to be presented on the day of the event. If we accept your abstract, we will contact you informing you that your work has been choosen. You must print your poster and bring it on the 8th of April before the beginning of the Workshop yourself.



Any of your research work on biomedical engineering may be presented.



In general, it should have the structure of a regular scientific paper: abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusion and references. It must be written in english and it is your responsability to print it (dimensions: A0 - 841x1189 mm).



Yes, there will be a competition between all posters and the winner will be chosen by a jury formed by members of the WBME committee.
